Scotland: Day 1 -3

A evening drive up to Scotland was too late to take any photographs but I was pleased that when I got to Kinross that the first thing I heard getting out the car at 10pm was Pink Footed Geese calling in the heavy rain filled skies.

Day 1: Next morning at RSPB Loch Leven near Kinross - the wind was strong but the mists linger until after lunch.  Mr S and Dr L were my companions in a hunt for White Tailed Sea Eagles - none were forthcoming and as we got back into out cars the weather started to close in!

Day 2: The bright skies of New Year's Day provided a grand vista from Corsiehill of Perth and the Tay.  The distant white topped hills never come out very well in these photos - I will have to try to harder with telephoto lenses for mountain snows.

Day 3: From Dundee I visited the small RSPB reserve at Loch of Kinnordy, just out of Kirriemuir.  There were few of the birds I wanted to see and very few in a respectable distance for photography.  So this Bullfinch was a treat

The reserve itself is flooded but affords good views of a variety of habitats from its three hides. Lone pines amidst the water make grand subjects though.
