At Bempton Cliffs on the Yorkshire coast there are plenty of sea birds in colonies on sheer cliffs.
Birds on the nest are easier to capture than those in flight so off I went in pursuit of both.
One technical note: the trusty Nikon 80-400mm VR zoom I have doesn't do auto focus with my new body Nikon 3100 so all the shoots using telephoto were manually focussed (oh my is THAT tedious!)





great pics I love the greatness of the cliff photo and the gannets are gorgeous.I know all your pics are great but it must be harder to take the bird pics than flowers and you do make them look easy x
